The compact standard redefined

If you need a compact inverter that makes your work easier and, at the same time, keeps your control system options open, our MOVITRAC® advanced is exactly the right choice.

Designed and developed as a compact all-rounder, MOVITRAC® advanced can control and monitor synchronous and asynchronous AC motors with or without an encoder, asynchronous motors with LSPM technology, and both synchronous and asynchronous linear motors. What's more, it benefits from a wide power range of 0.25 to 315 kW and an overload capacity of 150%.

MOVITRAC® advanced is flexible thanks to its integrated communication interface for connection to all standard control systems. Connection is possible via PROFINET, EtherNet/IPTM, EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT® CiA402 or POWERLINK CiA402. You can also configure functional safety with MOVITRAC® advanced – from the integrated STO safety function to higher-level safety functions and safe communication.

MOVITRAC® advanced is ideal for materials handling and motion applications such as conveyor belts, hoists and palletizers, making it a true compact all-rounder.

MOVITRAC® advanced standard inverter

With which products can the MOVITRAC® advanced standard inverter be combined?

Virtually all components from SEW‑EURODRIVE's modular system, so your application is bound to be covered. Combine the standard inverter with standard or servo gearmotors such as the following new addition to the range: CM3C.. series synchronous servomotors – find out more here. Or simply select an appropriate decentralized drive for your requirements.

Motor design

  • Synchronous and asynchronous AC motors with/without an encoder
  • Asynchronous motors with LSPM technology
  • Synchronous and asynchronous linear motors

Degree of protection: IP10, IP20 optional (only with power connectors plugged in for grid and motor)

Interference emission: Limit value class C2 to EN 61800-3. The interference suppression level can be improved with relevant measures. You will find further information about this in the product manual ("EMC-compliant installation according to EN 61800-3" section).

Connections: Spring-loaded terminals up to 7.5 kW units

Further options

  • Control modes: U/f, VFCPlus, ELSM®, CFC
  • Torque, speed or position control
  • Plug-in and scalable keypads or MOVISUITE® engineering software for startup
  • MOVIKIT® software modules for easy startup
  • Portable memory module for easy device replacement without engineering software

MOVIKIT®software modules in the "Drive" and "Motion" categories can be used in conjunction with MOVITRAC® advanced. The "Drive" category includes MOVIKIT® software modules that are operated directly on the MOVITRAC® advanced standard inverter:

  • MOVIKIT® Velocity Drive: MOVIKIT® Velocity Drive allows you to use applications with velocity control and a standardized fieldbus interface.
  • MOVIKIT® RapidCreepPositioning Drive: MOVIKIT® RapidCreepPositioning Drive is a software module for implementing classic "rapid/creep speed positioning" without a motor encoder.
  • MOVIKIT® Positioning Drive: MOVIKIT® Positioning Drive enables positioning applications with a standardized fieldbus interface.

Single-cable technology for power supply and data transfer with digital encoder for synchronous and asynchronous motors

In fact, only one hybrid cable is required and installed here for the data connection between inverter and motor, and the MOVILINK® DDI digital data interface transfers the power, brake and diagnostic data to the motor.
